About The Author
Shel Chrisco has been writing poetry for most of her life, quietly weaving words into spells long before she ever dared to share them. Her magic is stitched into every line and shadow of this debut collection.
Wife, mother, and grandmother, Shel walks a path of mystery and wonder, often found wandering old cemeteries, reveling in Halloween's chill, or delighting in the macabre and strange. Her husband-also a poet-shares in her love for the written word and the enchantment of the unusual.
Her debut novel, The Purple Door, became her ritual and her therapy, helping her shed the skin of a shy, meek child and step fully into the dark, wild force she was always meant to be. These pages hold her journey-a spiritual and witchy awakening captured through poetry and prose.
